DETECTIVES are appealing for information following the hijacking of a delivery van in the Glenowen Park area of Londonderry yesterday, Wednesday, 11 June.

At approximately 11.30 pm police received a report that three masked men stopped the vehicle and threatened the driver if he did not hand over the van.

They then made off in the van which was later found burnt out in the Central Drive area.

The driver and a female passenger cheated injury in the hijacking but have been left badly shaken.

Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this hijacking or the burning of the vehicle to contact them on the non emergency number 101.
