DETECTIVES are jubilant after officers seized cannabis plants valued at £700,000 in a seaside town.
The cannabis factory was uncovered in Ballycastle, Co Antrim around lunchtime.
During an intelligence-led operation, a police search team found the factory in living quarters above business premises in Castle Street.
The PSNI said one man was arrested at the scene under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
He is currently being questioned about possession of class B drugs with intent to supply, possession of the drugs, conspiracy to supply the drug and cultivation of cannabis.
Follow up inquiries are continuing into the seizure.
