A 33-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over a stabbing in north Belfast on Thursday.

A 28-year-old man was stabbed at a block of flats in Shore Crescent around 4 pm.

The victim was critically injured in the incident. He is now in a stable condition in hospital.

The accused is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later on Saturday.

He is also to be charged with possessing a knife in a public place.
