POLICE are investigating after a 49 year old woman and a 48 year old man were admitted to hospital for treatment to burn injuries following an incident at a house on Glenavy Road, Lisburn this morning.

The female is understood to be in a critical condition while the male’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Detectives in Lisburn are working to establish exactly what happened.

They are appealing for information or for anyone who was in the area at around 7.30am to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
