MAN STABLE AFTER KNIFE ATTACK

Police crime scene picDETECTIVES are hunting suspects after a man was stabbed during an assault.

Police say the 42-year-old man was attacked close to a car park at Anderson Park in Coleraine.

Police were alerted just after midnight on Sunday.

It is believed the victim was stabbed in the back and other parts of his body during the attack.

The man was rushed by paramedics to the Causeway Hospital for treatment to his injuries.

However, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Detectives at Coleraine CID have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
