MAN QUIZZED OVER DEATH AS NI ROADS CLAIM SECOND WEEKEND VICTIM

Police accidentPOLICE have arrested a male after a man died in a two car accident.

The victim was killed when his car was in collision with another car on Banbridge Road in Dromore, Co Down around 6 pm on Sunday.

A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene but has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

It was the second road death of the weekend.

A man in his 40s died when he was struck by a car after getting out of a taxi on the Gilford Road outside Portadown on Sunday around 2 am.

Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed either of the accidents to contact its Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
