The arrests were made in North Belfast, Newtownabbey, Jordanstown, Carrickfergus and Crumlin areas during the early hours of this morning.
Shortly before 3.45am it was reported that a Seat Leon car had been stolen in a creeper style burglary in the Summerhill Court area of North Belfast.
Around 45 minutes later police received a report of an attempted burglary in the Whitehouse Park area of Newtownabbey involving a number of males who made off in a black Seat Leon car.
A further report of a burglary in the Mount Pleasant area of Jordanstown was also received by police and a resident of Hawthorne Grove, Carrickfergus reported disturbing four males in a black Seat Leon car at his home.
The Seat Leon was subsequently observed by police on the Antrim Road in Glengormley. Police followed the car and it was stopped on the Carmavy Road close to Belfast International Airport. Two males aged 22 and 25 were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences. Two other males made off from the car.
A short time later police received reports of two males acting suspiciously in the Carmavy Road and Lisnataylor Road areas of Nutts corner. It’s understood two homes were entered and a Honda CRV jeep was stolen from one of the properties.
Police spotted the Honda in the area and pursued it into North Belfast where officers arrested two males aged 26 and 31.
