Detectives at Woodbourne CID hunting man who held up cash truck in west Belfast

DETECTIVES in West Belfast are appealing for information following a cash in transit robbery that occurred at a shopping centre in the Falls Road area in the early afternoon of Tuesday 1 April.

At approximately 12.15pm, police received the report that an employee was approached when he was at the parked cash in transit van.

The man who approached was armed with a knife and made off with the cash box in a blue Volkwagen Golf and is believed to have headed in the direction of Divis.

The male employee was not injured in the incident.

The armed man is described as being aged in his 20s, approximately 6ft tall and was wearing a hooded top, white t-shirt, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
