ARMED ROBBERY AT SOUTH BELFAST OFF LICENCE PROBED

PSNIDETECTIVES are appealing for information following an armed robbery of an off-licence on the Cromac Street area of South Belfast last night, Friday 28 March.

It was reported that shortly before 9.15pm a masked male, armed with a knife, entered the Wineflair premises and demanded money from staff. He made off with a undisclosed sum of cash from the till.

He is described as being approximately 5’ 6” tall and approximately 20 years old. He was wearing a black beanie hat with a distinctive pattern, and grey hoodie. He was also carrying a multi coloured golf umbrella.

The member of staff was not injured but left shocked by the ordeal.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact Detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the new non-emergency number 101.
