LEADING ferry company Stena Line is calling on adults across the land to let their inner child run free and join in with the kids as they experience a joy-filled journey across the Irish or North Sea packed with adventure and excitement.

To celebrate National Ferry Fortnight, which runs from March 15 – 29, Stena Line customers will be quids in as under 16s travel for free* by car on all routes and all sailings, all year – child’s play, as Orla Noonan, Stena Line’s Head of Travel, Irish Sea explains.

“Children love the thrill of getting away for a break by taking the ferry – to start off they aren’t confined to a small space and a tiny seat, and once onboard they get to be captain for the day and enjoy the freedom our ships give them to run about, play a game or watch a free movie.”

The ferry company’s money-saving promise to its customers is that every child under 16, on every booking made by midnight on March 31 (for travel up to January 5, 2015), travels for free by car!

Orla continued: “We want big kids and little kids to enjoy their time with us and with this great deal we are ticking all the boxes. Under 16s travel for free meaning Mums and Dads can make huge savings plus everyone gets to enjoy our fantastic facilities onboard and stress-free way of travelling.

“And don’t forget, when you travel with Stena Line there are no baggage restrictions or excess baggage charges so you can bring all the comforts of home with you. There are no fun-sapping long queues at check-in or intrusive security searches. We have many places to explore onboard, a fabulous array of dining options, great value meal deals and free blockbuster movies and free WiFi which is popular with all the family.

“On top of this there are safe play areas where children sometimes spend the whole journey and a great shopping experience for the adults with up to 40% off hundreds of quality lines when compared to the high street,” said Orla.

Orla continued: “Our advice is leave the stresses and strains behind, pack up the kids, their toys, games and the dog and jump into the car for a wonderful journey by sea.”

In addition to the fantastic Kids Go Free offer, Stena Line is inviting people to rewind time and think back to the days when Ferris Buller was the coolest kid on the block and when 10p mix ups cost 10p with its retro Facebook competition.

Simply like Stena Line’s Facebook page, facebook.com/StenaLineUKIE, and take the quiz to find out which decade your inner child belongs to for the chance to win some fabulous prizes including free sailings and Retro Hampers with the all-time favourite sweets, retro games and DVD’s.

The ferry giant has some great competitions planned for National Ferry Fortnight so make sure you log onto their website, www.stenaline.co.uk, Facebook page, facebook.com/StenaLineUKIE, or Twitter feed, @StenaLineUK , for details.
