DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary on Sunday morning.

Police say that around 5.45 am, an elderly woman in her 80s disturbed a male in her house at the Mary Street area of Lurgan.

The male assaulted the woman and made off from the house.

It is not believed that anything was taken.

The woman received medical treatment at the house for a non-life threatening injury.

She and another woman in her 70s, who also resides there, were left badly shaken by the incident.

The male was wearing a black hooded top.
