MURDER BID PROBE AFTER TWO MEN SHOT

Police crime scene picSERIOUS Crime Branch detectives are treating as attempted murder a gun attack in Bangor, Co Down.

Two men were injured during the attack in the early hours of Monday morning.

One man was shot three times in his chest.

The second man was shot in the leg during the gun attack at the junction of East Way and Whitehill Drive in the Whitehill estate around 1 am.

The man who was shot in the chest is in a stable condition in the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald.

The second victim was also taken to hospital but he later discharged himself.

The area remains sealed off as forensic team examine the scene for spent bullet casings and possible clues to the gunman.
