WOMAN PUSHING BABY’S PRAM KICKED IN FACE DURING SOUTH BELFAST ROBBERY

Police scenePOLICE are hunting a man who assaulted a woman pushing her child in a pram during a robbery in south Belfast.

According to the PSNI, the woman was walking along Roden Street around 3 pm on Tuesday when she was approached from behind by two men.

The victim was pulled to the ground before being kicked in the face.

The robbers then fled on foot with her bag.

Paramedics took the woman to hospital for treatment to her injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the child was not hurt.

During a follow up inquiry, the woman’s purse was found by police a short time later in an alleyway off Roden Street.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
