PSNI PROBE SOUTH BELFAST RAPE CLAIM

PSNIDETECTIVES have launched an investigation after a woman alleged she was raped in south Belfast.

The 20-year-old told officers from the Rape Crime Unit that the man attacked her in Cameron Street shortly after 2 am on Tuesday.

The victim described her attacker as a foreign national and was wearing a blue top.

Police will be studying CCTV footage in the area in the hope it picks up the man before or after the attack

Rape Crime Unit detectives have appealed for anyone who saw the man in the area or has any information about the attack to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
