Woman’s fire death in Newry is being treated as suspicious

DETECTIVES are investigating after a woman was found dead following a fire at a house.

They are treating the fire in Newry’s Georges Lane as suspicious.

The alarm was raised just after 11 pm on Saturday night.

The woman’s body was found in the house by fire crews called to tackle the fire.

Police have not yet released any details about the woman.
