ARMY technical officers have made safe a “small viable”’ bomb found outside a house over night.

Police were forced to evacuated a number of homes in the Alexander Avenue area of Armagh and residents were put up in a local community centre during the security alert.

It followed the discovery of the object outside a house around 4 am.

The device has been removed from the scene for forensic examinations.
