FIVE MEN ARRESTED OVER ASSAULT

Police in the city are appealing for information about the incident which occurred in the Aberfoyle Terrace area on Saturday, December21.

A PSNI spokesperson said at around 4.30am, it was reported that six males gave verbal abuse to four males in the area.

The spokesperson added: “It is believed that a car was also damaged in the area and two of the males were assaulted during the incident.”

Five males were arrested in relation to the incident and have now been released on police bail pending further nquiries.

The PSNI spokesperson said the investigation was continuing.

The spokesperson added: “Police are appealing to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact police in Foyle on 0845 600 8000.
