PENSIONER KNOCKED DOWN IN EAST BELFAST

Police accidentPOLICE have renewed their appeal for information from the public and motorists after a 64-year-old female pedestrian was injured following a collision with a car in east Belfast.

She remains in a stable condition in hospital with serious injuries following the accident on Wednesday.

The woman was struck on the Sydenham bypass’s on-slip at Middlepath Street shortly after 3pm.

PSNI Collision Investigation Unit officers are now looking to speak with the driver of a white Mini which they believe was in the area at the time.
