Police appeal for information over bottle attack in Dunloy

POLICE have appealed for information after a 21-year-old man suffered a serious eye injury after he was hit with a bottle.

The attack happened in the village of Dunloy, Co Antrim in the early hours of Sunday morning outside a bar in Bridge Street.

The victim was rushed to Altnagelvin Hospital for emergency surgery to his eye injury.

During following up, enquiries, police arrested a 21-year-old man over the attack and is currently being questioned at Ballymena police station.

Officers there have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
