Sgt Brian Caskey wants public help is stamping out vandalism in west Belfast

THE PSNI has appealed for public support in stamping out wanton vandalism in north Belfast.

Officers in the New Lodge district disturbed “very young people” trying to set fire to playground equipment in a local park.

PSNI Neighbourhood cop Sergeant Brian Caskey said: “We have had bins stolen and set on fire.

“We appreciate community and parent support to stop this behaviour.”
