The home of Coleraine district master George Duddy targeted again in a sectarian attack

POLICE are investigating threatening graffiti sprayed on the home of leading Orangeman George Duddy.

It is the second attack on the DUP councillor’s Coleraine home in two months.

The threat was sprayed on the wall outside his house on Drumaquill Road.

The PSNI believes the attack happened sometime between 10 pm and 10.40 pm on Thursday night.

Officers are treating the attack on the Coleraine District Master’s property as a sectarian hate crime.

Threatening graffiti was sprayed on the same wall and Mr Duddy’s union flag was stolen from his garden last month.

It was also being treated as a hate crime.

Mr Duddy said the latest attack was a “very serious and sinister threat”.

“I will not be intimidated out of my home. I am committed to serving my constituents.

“I am very proud of my culture and my role in the Orange Order.”

Police in Coleraine have appealed for anyone with information about the latest hate to contact officers on 0845 600 8000.
