A former cop who exposed Jimmy Savile as Britain’s most dangerous worst paedophile is speaking at a Belfast conference today on child abuse.
Mark Williams-Thomas lifted the lid in an ITV documentary that exposed Savile’s 50 years of abusing boys and girls.
The Belfast conference will hear from a host of experts about the problem of child sex abuse.
Another speaker is former Scotland Yard detective Peter Spindler who headed up the Yard’s investigation that revealed Savile’s history of sexual abuse.
Guest speakers will talk on issues such as the motivations, influences and deterrents to offending.
The conference will hear how paedophiles infiltrate schools, charities and sporting bodies to get the chance to access children.
Northern Ireland-born Jim Gamble, who one time headed up the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) will address the conference.
