THE PSNI’S Organised Crime Branch have charged four people over a cross-channel cocaine smuggling racket.
It follows an intelligence-led surveillance operation against an organised crime gang operating between Northern Ireland and Livepool.
As a result two men, aged 54 and 20, and a woman aged 42, all from Liverpool, and a man aged 35 from the Antrim are have been charged with possession of Class A drugs and possessing it with intent to supply.
The four were arrested by detectives on Friday in the Greystone area of Antrim following a hand-over of the drugs.
They are to face Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Police have a released a 42-year-old woman on bail pending further enquiries.
