Police appeal for information after ten masked men smashed up house in west Belfast

DETECTIVES are hunting a gang of ten men masked men who smashed up a house in an aggravated burglary in west Belfast.

The PSNI said the men, who wearing balaclavas, went into the house at Black Mountain Park on Sunday around 10.30 pm.

It is believed one of them was armed with a hatchet and another was wielding a baseball bat.

During the break-in, the gang broke windows and smashed up household furniture.

One person who was in the house was badly shaken but not hurt.
