Detectives in west Belfast appeal for information after man assaulted and threatened with gun

A 33-year-old man has been assaulted in his west Belfast home by a gang who threatened him with a gun.

Three men forced their way into the property at Shaws Road on Friday at around 10.30pm.

The victim was struck a number of times during the attack, receiving injuries to his head and arms.

He was rushed to hospital by ambulance for treatment although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
