Police sealed off road in Kilrea after two men died in horror road crash

POLICE are investigating after a motorcyclist died following a three vehicle crash on the M2 near Belfast.

The 42-year-old was taken to hospital after the collision at the Dunsilly off-slip on the northbound lane of the motorway on Monday afternoon.

He died later that evening.

Police have appealed for information on the crash, which happened shortly after 3pm and involved a bike, a grey car and an articulated lorry.

It brings to three the number of people killed on Northern Ireland roads in the past few days.

Two men died in the early hours of Saturday morning in a car fireball horror.

The men, Christopher O’Neill and Declan McKenna, were involved in a fatal incident involving a blue BMW M3 car on the Agivey Road area of the Kilrea shortly after 3.30am on Saturday.

It is believed the vehicle may have hit a tree and then burst into flames.

Mr O’Neill and Mr McKenna were in their 20s and from the area.
