Police arrest a teenager over an assault on a male in west Belfast

DETECTIVES are investigating after a man was left in a stable condition in hospital following an assault in west Belfast.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was attacked by three males on Norglen Road at around 6.50pm on Saturday evening.

He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast with head injuries.

Detectives later arrested a 19-year-old man in relation to the assault and he is currently being questioned about the attack.

Investigating officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
