Police investigating bogus caller to houses in north Down

THE PSNI has warned the public to be on the look out for bogus callers in North Down.

One resident in Bangor said: “I got one about a month back saying they where from Housing Executive.

“They weree standing in my neighbours garden looking in all the backs.

“Butwhen I phoned the Housing Executiv they said it wasn’t them.”

The police said: “There have been a number of bogus callers in the Bangor area recently, with two of the persons carrying photo ID.

“Please check all callers and use the free Quick Check number 0800 013 22 90.

“They will check if a caller is genuine or not. If in doubt, please telephone the PSNI on 0845 600 8000.”
