Police deny rumours on social media of dog-napping in Lisburn

POLICE in Lisburn have denied rumours circulating about the possibility of dogs being targeted for theft.

The PSNI said: “We want to try and put people’s minds at ease.

“Lisburn Neighbourhood Police are conscious that there are a number of rumours circulating locally in Lisburn and on social media in respect of dogs being targeted.

“We would assure you that we have not seen evidence to substantiate this.

“We would continue to advise members of the community who own animals to be as vigilant as they would normally are, to help prevent any thefts occurring.”
