Police appeal for witnesses over south Belfast robbery

DETECTIVES are investigating after a shop was robbed at knife-point in south Belfast.

A male suspect entered the premises on the Ormeau Road on Friday at around 5pm and threatened a female member of staff.

The young male robber made off with some of her personal belongings in the direction of the Embankment along Rutland Street.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
