A MAN has faced a court on Wednesday charged with unlawfully killing Monaghan teenager Jason McGovern.

Mark Donnelly, of Greencastle Road, between Greencastle and Mountfield, is accused of the manslaughter offence on December 31.

A police officer told the court he believed he could connect the Donnelly to the charge.

He agreed to bail provided strict conditions were imposed.

Donnelly, who was arrested on Tuesday morning, has already appeared in court charged with affray in relation to the death of the Monaghan teenager.

The 19-year-old from Tydavnet was found dead in a house in Emyvale on the morning of December 31 after a night out in Omagh where police believe he was attacked on two separate occasions.

An 18-year-old who was also arrested on Tuesday has been released unconditionally.

On Tuesday, a 21-year-old woman appeared at Omagh Magistrates’ Court charged in connection with the Jason McGovern investigation.
