A MAN is in custody following a lengthy police chase through busy streets during rush hour traffic this morning.
Police spotted a car being driven erratically through Belfast and on the wrong side of the road in Donegall Place at around 8am.
Officers tried to stop the car on Royal Avenue but when the driver refused to pull over, police gave chase.
A PSNI spokesperson said “suitably trained police drivers” drove after the car.
The vehicle was later stopped on the Ormeau Road and officers arrested a 33-year-old man.
