Purses stolen at St Anne’s Cathedral

POLICE are on the trail of thieves who snatched purses yesterday from a church in Belfast city centre.

A number of purses were stolen from people attending an event at St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast.

The purses were taken from a hall attached to the church in Donegall Street.

The incident happened some time between 5pm and 5.45pm.

Police are trawling through CCTV footage for the culprits and have appealed for information about the incident to get in touch.
