Police hunt armed gang in west Belfast

The gang, armed with a gun and a wrench, forced their way into a property at Colinbrook Gardens, Poleglass, after he answered a knock on his door at about 9.40 pm on Friday.

They forced the occupant to lie on the floor before hitting him on the head with the wrench. They stole his mobile phone, two games consoles and cash.

It is believed the gang left the area in a vehicle.

The man was treated in hospital for a cut to his head.

Police have asked anyone who has any information about the burglary to contact them.

Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
