DETECTIVES investigating the report of an assault in the Beechmount Avenue area of west Belfast on Wednesday 22nd April, have charged two men.

Both are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, April 27,  charged with a number of offences including attempted murder and attempted aggravated burglary with intent to commit GBH.

The men are also charged with possessing a firearm with intent and possessing an offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
