MAN REPORTED TO PPS OVER UVF MURDER OF IAN OGLE

Murder victim Ian Ogle beaten and stabbed to death in east Belfast in January this year

A 36 year old man who was previously arrested on suspicion of the murder of Ian Ogle in east Belfast on Sunday, January 27, has been reported to the PPS for the offence of murder.

Mr Ogle was stabbed 11 times in the back after he was attacked by a UVF mob close to his Cluan Place home in east Belfast.

A 47 year old female and 49 year old male who were arrested yesterday, Wednesday, 19 June, by detectives investigating the murder of Ian Ogle have been reported to the PPS for the offences of assisting an offender and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Three men are currently remanded in custody charged with the father of two’s murder.
