MAN REPORTED TO PPS OVER UVF MURDER OF IAN OGLE

Murder victim Ian Ogle beaten and stabbed to death in east Belfast in January this year

PUBLIC prosecutors are to be asked to consider a charge against a man in relation to the brutal UVF murder of Ian Ogle.

The 45-year-old was stabbed to death on Sunday, January 27, near his home in Cluan Place, east Belfast by a UVF mob.

The father-of-two sustained was stabbed 11 times in the back during the frenzied attack which shocked east Belfast.

The PSNI say that a 40 year old man who was previously arrested in relation to the investigation into the murder has been reported to the PPS for withholding information.

Two men have already been charged with his murder after fleeing to Thailand only to be arrested on return to airports in England.

A number of other people have also been reported for a range of offences in relation to murder.
