DETECTIVES from the PSNI Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of  a 53 year old woman in Whincroft Way, East Belfast, have confirmed her identity as Alice Morrow. 

A 42-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody.

The woman’s body was found at a property in the Braniel area on Sunday night.

Police have yet to reveal details of her post mortem and how she died.
