SEX TRAFFICKING ‘PIMPS’ TO FACE COURT AFTER POLICE RAIDS

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Human Trafficking Unit have charged two men over a probe into the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation.

It follows raids on the Newtownards Road in east Belfast and Banbridge earlier this week.

The men, aged 20 and 28, have been charged with conspiracy to traffick within the UK for exploitation, controlling prostitution and concealing criminal property.

They are both due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court this morning, Saturday, May 27, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
