POLICE are investigating after the body of an adult was found at the scene of a house fire in north Belfast.

The fire at the property in Rosapenna Parade was reported at about midday today, Thursday, April 23.

A police spokesman said the body was discovered inside the house during an examination of the scene.

However, it is not yet known if it was that of a man or a woman.

A post mortem examination is to be carried out.

Insp David McBride said: “The cause of the fire is still being investigated.”
