DETECTIVES at PSNI Musgrave station have charged a 26 year old man with grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon, robbery and threats to damage property.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, Boxing Day.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

It is understood the charges relate to the robbery of a shop in the Shore Road area of Belfast on the evening of Christmas Eve, December 24.

A 19 year old man was also arrested in connection with this investigation and has been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
