POLICE say the security alert in the Pennybridge area of Ballymena has now ended.
Army Technical Officers were called to a garage in the area after a suspected undercar booby trap device had been found beneath the vehicle.
However, following two controlled explosions, a UCBT device has now been ruled out.
Said Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley: “The suspicious object was not an explosive device.
“We are confident that there is no cause for concern for the local community.”
