ARMED ROBBERY PROBE IN SOUTH BELFAST

musgrave psniDETECTIVES are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Ormeau Road area of south Belfast this morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gillis said: “At this time it is believed that two men robbed a shop just after 10am this morning.

“It is believed that one of the men may have been armed with a taser. They made off with a laptop and several other items.

“One of the men is believed to have been wearing a dark top, dark tracksuit bottoms and is thought to be aged in his early 20s.

“The second male was wearing a white hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.

“Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact CID at Musgrave Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
