DETECTIVES in Bangor are investigating the report of an aggravated burglary at a house in the Firmount Crescent area of Holywood, Co Down last night.

Detective Sergeant Martin Cush  explains: “We received a report that a  number of  masked men, entered a house shortly before 8 pm and assaulted the male occupant, a man in his 30’s.

“The occupant was treated in hospital for serious injuries to his hands.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information about this incident to contact detectives in Bangor on 101.

“Information can also be passed anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
