POLICE have named a man has died after being hit by a car in Co Fermanagh.

He was 48-year-old Gordon Deery who was from Tamlaght.

Mr Deery was struck on the Belfast Road in Tamlaght shortly before midnight on Friday.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences and is currently in custody.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnesses the incident to contact them on 101.
