Detectives in Newtownabbey are investigating an arson attack on two items of plant machinery in the Larne Road, Ballynure area of Ballyclare.

A report was received at around 8.00 pm that the plant machinery was on fire on Thursday, February 20, 2014.

Police and fire crews attended the scene.

As a result of the fire substantial damage was caused to the cabs of the machinery.

The two machines are valued at approximately £90,000 – £100,000.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
