PSNI Chief Inspector Sam Donaldson praises public support in cracking down on drugs

POLICE in Limavady have recovered 30 cannabis plants.

It follows the discovery of a cannabis factory during a search of a house in the Glenbank Walk area the town yesterday.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and released on bail pending further enquiries.

The police commander for the area said the find was the “result of good work” by local officers.

Chief Inspector Sam Donaldson said: “I know many people in the community will be reassured to know that we have taken a substantial amount of drugs off our streets.

“Information from the public is a vital in the fight against drugs and we would ask for the continued support of the community on this issue,” he added.
