POLICE WARN OF RISE IN CAR AND HOUSE BREAK-INS

PSNIPOLICE have warned the public to be on their guard against thieves targeting cars and homes for valuables.

They say there has been a recent spate of thefts from parked cars in the Finaghy area.

In the most recent incidents, three more cars had windows smashed and items stolen in the Malone Hill Park and Finaghy Road South, and Greystown Avenue areas.

The PSNI have advised motorists: “Do not leave any items on view, day or night.”

And police in Balmoral have also warned about a number of burglaries.

Homes were targeted at Lower Windsor, Donnybrook Street, Great Northern Street, and Meadowbank Street.

Police say burglars gained access two of to the houses throug unlocked doors while one was forced entry.
