40 jobs lost as Flynn Fine Foods goes out of business

A BACON firm has chopped 40 jobs and shut its doors for good.

Workers at Flynns Fine Foods in Rosslea, Co Fermanagh were served up the bad news at the close of business on Thursday.

Administrators said the company was suffering a cash flow problem falling a downturn in sales.

The business was founded by Micheal Flynn Snr in 1978.

It supplied food to some of the main supermarkets north and south of border and in the UK.

In a statement the administrators said: “Due to the trading position of the company the administrators regret that there was no alternative but to make the company’s 40 employees redundant on 5 September 2013.”
