Man to face Omagh Magistrates Court charged with the manslaughter of a man

DETECTIVES have charged an 18-year-old man with manslaughter.

It follows the death of a man who suffered a serious assault in Omagh, Co Tyrone at the weekend.

The 28-year-old victim died in hospital on Tuesday evening as a result of the injuries he received in the attack in the John Street.

He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition following the assault which happened at 8 pm on Sunday.

Three men were arrested by police in connection to the incident.

The 18-year-old is to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The two other men – aged 23 and 24 – were bailed by detectives on Tuesday pending further inquiries.
